NCAD ZOOMS-IN

WE WERE TASKED WITH DESIGNING AN IDENTITY FOR THE 2026 NCAD ZOOMS-IN ARTIST TALKS. WE DESIGNED BRANDING FOR VARIOUS ONLINE PLATFORMS AND CREATED A VISUALLY APPEALING AND COHESIVE IDENTITY THAT REPRESENTS THE SPIRIT OF THE ARTIST TALK SERIES. OUR GROUP’S ZOOMS-IN BRANDING CONCEPT WAS BASED AROUND A REPEATED SPINNING DISK MOTIF. THIS WAS INSPIRED BY THE AUDIBLE EXPERIENCE OF THE TALK SERIES ASWELL AS THE ‘ZOOMING MOTION’ OF CD’S AND RECORDS. THE STRETCHED BOLD TYPOGRAPHY AND NEON COLOUR PALETTE IS MEANT TO CREATE AN EYE CATCHING DESIGN THAT CREATES A KIND OF ‘ZOOMING’ EFFECT. THE SIMPLE CIRCLE SHAPE IS ABLE TO TRANSLATE INTO MULTIPLE DIFFERENT FORMATS AND MEDIUMS, INCLUDING POSTERS, BADGES, LANYARDS AND MOTION GRAPHICS. AS PART OF OUR PRESENTATION WE ALSO SUGGESTED A RECORDED VERSION OF THE EVENT, WHICH WOULD WORK AS A PODCAST SERIES THAT THE GUESTS COULD LISTEN BACK ON.
